Beautiful Realistic Miniature Colored Pencil Drawings
Without the expensive tools and materials
Discover your potential
As an artist with attention difficulties
I’ve always struggled to stay focused with any topic, growing up.
I dabbled in the arts a little and tried out photography as a small business, that didn’t last.
Not one thing interested me enough. That is until I picked up a colored pencil just a few years ago…
If you are like me, this course is for you!
Do you find yourself mentally wandering off? Not able to focus on the task at hand?
Do you get tired of one subject and move on to something else?
Are you wanting to create something you are proud of and that won’t take you hours to complete?
Discover your potential
One thing that I have learned from all my past students and followers is that we are all in the same boat.
I started out drawing with very little patience and absolutely no knowledge of how to use colored pencils.
I unfortunately learned the hard way, through trial and error (my life in a nutshell!).
Colored pencils is a meticulous medium. It’s slow and steady and I often find people giving up.
But with my guidance, it doesn’t have to be so difficult!
You can learn to draw, too
Like with any new skill, it is always difficult at first.
You could pick up a pen and start writing a book but then give up at the first paragraph because it’s too hard.
Drawing is the same way.
The only difference is, I’m here to provide with what you need!
Some of my students' reviews
On a budget?
Don’t tell me you can’t get started because you can’t afford to buy the top of the line colored pencils.
You don’t need the most expensive materials!
All you need is a basic, 12 count set of pencils from amazon to get you started.
Most common mistakes
What mistakes most people make while starting out in their colored pencil journey
No game plan
When starting a portrait, most beginners do not know what colors they are going to use, how to layer with colored pencils, and how to draw an accurate sketch.
Not understanding values
Values are what make or brake a portrait
Understanding how and where to draw your darks and lights is key to creating a beautiful portrait
Finishing too soon
I have had many students tell me that their portrait is too light or that the paper is coming through too much.
This is because you have not finished your portrait!
This is something that you will progressively get better at over time. You will start to catch those mistakes and continue on to complete the portrait
Don’t have the time?
As a stay at home mom, I absolutely understand the pressure of time management.
Before I was a mom, I went to college and worked a part time job. At one point, I was even working a full time job.
I found myself sleeping, eating, or watching tv on my free time, and the rest was running from one campus to the other (two colleges). I did have free time to pick up a new hobby or do something that actually interests me, but I chose to watch tv instead because it didn’t require much thinking.
Drawing does require your brain, at least in the beginning. And that will be difficult in the beginning but you will quickly find how much fun you’re having and the time will fly!
What’s this all about?
Trust the process
All of these workshops are about 2-3 hours long, broken into 2 parts.
This allows you to take breaks and come back with fresh eyes. Not only that, you won’t burn out so quickly!
