Zelda

“We lost our beloved Zelda two years ago, at just 7 years old, and our hearts still ache for her every day. Zelda was a hilarious and loving bulldog who had a way of making everyone smile with her playful antics. She adored snuggling with her humans and her fur sister, a German Shepherd, always seeking affection and warmth. One of her signature traits was her massive tongue, which she would use to give the most slobbery “kisses.” Zelda was also my husband’s first dog, something he had longed for during his career in the military, but he couldn’t have one until he retired. She was his loyal companion, and the bond they shared is something he will always treasure. He misses her more than words can say”

Drawing Princess Zelda was a special experience, as it gave me a chance to capture the unique personality of such a loved dog. I focused on her sweet and playful expression, which really showed how affectionate she was. Her big tongue, always ready to give slobbery "kisses," was a fun part to draw. I also made sure to highlight her bulldog features, from her wrinkled face to her strong, sturdy body.
